18th of October, 2018 - Hikvision exhibited the latest in surveillance technology, products and solutions at GITEX Technology Week - the technology exhibition in MENA and South Asia. The event attracted a diverse audience of IT professionals, technology enthusiasts, consumers and traders to join the conversations about solutions around AI, robotics, cloud and other mega trends.
At this year’s GITEX Technology Week, visitors could see how AI is revolutionizing the surveillance technology landscape with Hikvision’s industry-leading innovations, includes self-learning Artificial Intelligence (AI) products and technologies, and reliable solutions across a wide range of vertical market sectors.
Powered by high performance GPUs and deep learning algorithms, the DeepinView series cameras provide advanced functions including false alarm filtering, facial recognition and people counting. As a winner of Protector & Wik Award, for example, Hikvision's People Counting camera supports critical security functions with crowd-centric applications including crowd density monitoring and counting people passing entrances.
Furthermore, Hikvision demonstrated how its Retail Solution provides a comprehensive CCTV security solution for protection of staff and customers and assistance with loss prevention. Not only that, this smart retail solution features queue management and people counting data collection and analytics for enhancing business value.
In addition to displaying products and solutions in the field of traditional video security and business applications, Hikvision Access Control System and Video Intercom System were also demonstrated at GITEX. One of the most popular demonstrations at the show was a video wall built with Hikvision Transparent LED Units, which have been developed independently by Hikvision featuring high transparency and high transmittance with superior luminance uniformity and black mura prevention.
